Please help send us to Europe in April, 2008!

Although our students are from some of Boston’s most underserved communities, we teach and support many of the brightest and most dedicated students in the Boston Public Schools. As you can imagine, this is an exciting opportunity for any student, but most of them cannot afford the journey’s costs up front. For many of these teens, this will be the first time they have ever traveled outside the US, and for some, even outside of Boston. Please be as generous as you can. We need to raise $50,000 by April, 2008 in order to make this trip a reality for 24 TBA students.

Any amount that you can donate will greatly increase the chance that our students will be able to take advantage of this opportunity:

  • $10 will pay for one student’s bus trip to Dachau.
  • $40 will cover one round trip ticket from Krakow to Auschwitz.
  • If you can afford more, $350 will cover the hostel expenses for one student for the entire trip.
  • $500 covers non-air transportation.
  • $1000 will cover one student’s airfare.

The trip will take place over the student’s April vacation in 2008, April 15-27.

Levels of Support

  • For a $100 donation the student you are sponsoring will send you a postcard from Europe.
  • For a donation of $500 your sponsor student will create a DVD detailing their experiences.
  • Finally, if you wish to sponsor one student’s entire trip for $1800, he or she will send postcards from each major city, as well as provide a DVD detailing his/her experience upon return.

Thank you in advance for your support of TechBoston Academy, our students, and the Facing History and Ourselves program!
